EN 16Mo3 steel plate equivalent to 15Mo3 steel plate
16Mo3 steel plate is in european specification EN10028-2 and 15Mo3 is from German specification DIN 17155.These two steel grades are Mo-alloy minimum 0.25% steel materials.As for delivery condition,16Mo3 steel plate and 15Mo3 steel plate both under Normalized heat treatment.Comparasion with 16Mo3 steel plate and 15Mo3 steel plate in chemical composition,16Mo3 steel plate has more restriction in P and S than 15Mo3 steel plate,they have the same contains for other chemical elements.Also 15Mo3 steel plate and 16Mo3 steel plate have the same mechnical properties when supplying.So 16Mo3 steel plate is equilvalent to 15Mo3 steel plate.
16Mo3 steel plate and 15Mo3 steel plate are mainly used for building boilers and pressure vessels.Also these two grades also can be rolled as 16mo3 seamless pipe and 15mo3 seamless pipe for boilers and superheater usage.
