China cuts stainless steel output in Sep – CSSC

According to the Stainless Steel Council of the China Special Steel Enterprises Assn, China’s stainless steel output dropped by 4.56% to 675,400 tonnes in September compared from the previous month.

The country produced 1833,000 tonnes of 300 series hot rolled stainless steel, up by 32.35% compared from the last month. Output of 400 series hot rolled stainless steel totaled 142,500 tonnes dipping by 29.56% on monthly basis.

Besides, the country’s output of 200 series cold rolled stainless steel reached 27,500 tonnes, decreasing by 21.43% from the last month.
