A36 carbon steel plate and S275JR high tensile plate steel techincal data

A36 carbon steel plate is most common structural steel grade in specification A36/A36M,there is also one grade as SA36 steel plate in ASME SA36/SA36M specification which is equivalent to A36 carbon steel plate.The minimum yield strength shall be above 250 Mpa (36 Ksi) and tensile strength within 400-500 Mpa (58-80 ksi),A36 carbon steel plate with thickness over 12.5mm must be semi-killed or killed.Tolerance in dimensions shall be following specification A 6/A 6M.



S275JR high tensile plate technical data with minimum yield strength 265 Mpa and tensile strength within 410 to 560 Mpa for thickness 3mm to 100mm.So in most cases,S275JR high tensile plate can replace of A36 carbon steel plate.In european specification EN 10025-2,there are grades S275J0 high tensile plate and S275J2 low temperature steel plate besides S275JR high tensile plate in S275 series.
