In british standard specification BS 7191,there are three different grades with 275N/MM2,steel plate 275D,steel plate 275E and steel plate 275EZ.
Steel plate 275D and steel plate 275E shall be made by any process except the bessemer process.
Steel plate 275EZ shall be made by any a low sulphur and phosphorus refining process in a basic oxygen or basic electric arc furnace.
Slab produced by the continuous casting route shall be examined for centreline segregation.
