Quenched and tempered alloy steel material A514 Grade B,A514GrB steel plate,A514GrB steel sheet belongs to high yield and tensile strength steel grades.Rolling steel grade A514GrB furnished under ASTM A514/A514M shall conform to the requirements of the current edition of specification A6/A6M,for the ordered materials of steel A514 Gr.B,unless a conflict exists in which case this specification shall prevail.High strength steel plate A514Gr.B shall be heat treated by steel mills to conform to the tensile and hardness requirements by heating to not less than 1650 F (900 centigrade),quenching in water or oil and tempering at not less than 1150 F (620 centigrade).The heat treating temperature shall be reported on the mill test certificates.
